Effective March 1, 1998, Palmer Computer Services, Inc. started selling Corel WordPerfect Licenses, Upgrades, Documentation and Media under the Corel/US Courts CLP Agreement.  Please check back here frequently for updated information.

If you are a US Federal Court Customer, please read the following carefully:

The Customer Advantage Program (CAP)  for the US Federal Court System officially ended on June 30th, 1996.  The Administrative Office has signed a new CLP Universal (Corel License Program Universal Agreement) with Corel corporation covering maintenance and support for the WordPerfect product line effective October 1st, 1996.

General Information about your License Status:

Each WordPerfect license allows a US Federal Court user to run any available version of the main WordPerfect product on any desktop platform.  For example, you may run WordPerfect 4.2, 5.1plus, 6.0, 6.1x for DOS, WordPerfect 5.1, 5.2plus, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 for Windows, or any MAC Version.  You may move between platforms as long as only one platform is in use per license. You are also entitled to install, under the same license, a copy on a notebook or home computer (while employed by the Court) under the same provision that only one copy of the WordPerfect software will be in use at a time.

If you would like to run the Corel WordPerfect Office Suite 2000 Standard Edition (WordPerfect with Quattro Pro and Presentations,) you must purchase an upgrade license at a cost of $78.

If you would like to run Dragon Naturally Speaking, you must purchase the Corel WordPerfect Office Suite 2000 Voice Powered Edition (WordPerfect with Quattro Pro, Presentations, and Dragon Naturally Speaking), upgrade license at a cost of $95. A headset is available for $7.

Language module licenses are included as part of your basic WordPerfect license.   (You need only purchase the Language module media pack to use them.)

The US Federal Courts are AUTOMATICALLY entitled to all upgrades and updates for the core WordPerfect product.  Do not purchase any WordPerfect Only upgrades.  The upgrade/maintenance fee for all existing licenses has been paid for by the Administrative Office.

The US Federal Courts also have Priority and Premium Telephone Support from Corel for the WordPerfect product.  Please contact your District Network Administrator or the Administrative Office for the correct phone and PIN number to use when calling. How to obtain Dragon Naturally Speaking:

If you already own the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Standard Edition, you are automatically entitled to run the Dragon Naturally Speaking product.  You may optionally purchase a new copy of the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Standard Edition CD-Rom media pack (Cost $25) which includes the Dragon Naturally Speaking product and an headset (Cost $7).  Please click here for pricing information.

If you have an existing Corel WordPerfect License, any version, you may upgrade to the Corel WordPerfect Office Suite 2000 Voice Powered Edition, which includes Dragon Naturally Speaking at a cost of $95.  The Standard Suite automatically qualifies for maintenance as described above for upgrades and updates. How to obtain the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Legal Edition:

If you have an existing Corel WordPerfect License, any version, you may upgrade to the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Legal Edition, which includes Dragon Naturally Speaking at a cost of $131. (You may also purchase the upgrade to Corel Wordperfect Office 2000 Professional Edition for $135 and you will automatically be licensed to run either the Corel WordPerfect Legal Suite 8 or NEW WordPerfect Office 2000 Legal Edition when it ships later this year.)  The Legal Suite DOES NOT include maintenance which is a separate purchase cost of $88.
